Some unexpected finds and absences in Lee statue time capsule

A rust-colored 1875 almanac, a cloth envelope and a silver coin were found in a time capsule that lay hidden beneath a towering statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Time capsule contents a sodden mess

Confederate money, badges, newspapers, photos and a likeness of Gen. Robert E. Lee were believed to be among the items in a time capsule placed in a Civil War monument near the University of Louisville (Ky.) in 1895.
