Beginning Thursday, Belmont Mansion in Tennessee hosts an impressive exhibition of civilian clothing from the Civil War era. The dresses, menswear, shoes and other accessories are from the collection of Phillip and Janine Whiteman, an Atlanta-based couple who are members of the Costume Society of America.
