RaceTrac rezoning request for Civil War site in Georgia is held by planning panel

RaceTrac’s latest bid to win approval of a 24/7 gas station and convenience store on a Civil War site outside Atlanta will have to wait another 30 days. The Cobb County Planning Commission voted Tuesday to seek additional information on traffic and potential environmental impacts on a nearby elementary school and day care center. It urged the company to have another meeting with neighborhoods that oppose the rezoning of the former Robert and Eliza McAfee parcel.
