Hot cider, cookies and holiday
caroling await visitors to Fort Pulaski near Savannah, Ga., during the annual
evening tours by candlelight and lamps. The commemoration of the Confederate
nog party takes places on Friday, Dec. 18, and Saturday, Dec. 19. The original party, held during Christmas 1861, gave
the Confederate garrison at Fort Pulaski a respite from the tension of
